How many stickers fit on a sheet?

It depends on the size of the stickers and the space between them. As a guide, a 4 x 6 inch sheet holds about 15 stickers of 1 inch or 2 stickers of 2 inches, and an 8.5 x 11 inch sheet holds about 63 stickers of 1 inch or 15 of 2 inches. The chart below covers sizes from 1 to 4 inches. Mixed sizes fit more, and the proof from the designer shows the exact count for your sheet.

Sticker size4 x 6 sheet8.5 x 11 sheet
1 inch about 15 about 63
1.25 inch about 8 about 35
1.5 inch about 6 about 30
1.75 inch about 3 about 20
2 inch about 2 about 15
2.5 inch about 2 about 12
3 inch about 1 about 6
4 inch none about 2

How to read the chart

The counts are for square or round stickers laid out in a simple grid, with a quarter inch of margin around the sheet and an eighth of an inch between stickers. That is the cautious case, and every number is marked about for that reason.

Real sheets often hold more. Stickers of mixed sizes fit together better than a grid, small ones filling the gaps around large ones, and die-cut outlines nest into each other. The designer arranges the layout, and the proof shows the exact count and every cut line before anything prints.

4 x 6 or 8.5 x 11

A 4 x 6 inch sheet is postcard size. It suits a tight set of related stickers, a thank-you for a parcel or a planner insert, and it slips into a mailer or a sleeve. Our 4x6 sticker sheets page has the details.

An 8.5 x 11 inch sheet is letter size, with nearly four times the area. It suits big collections, larger stickers and classroom or business sets. A 4 inch sticker does not fit across a 4 x 6 sheet once the margin is allowed for, so go to letter size for anything that large.

Telling the designer how many of each

Upload each sticker as its own file, a ready layout, or one ZIP with up to 50 files. Then use the Notes for the designer field to say how many of each sticker you want on the sheet and which should be largest. For example: logo twice, large; thank-you four times; handle six times, small.

A sheet can mix any stickers, so you do not need a separate sheet for each design. Order now and upload later is available too: we email a link for the files.

How many sheets you need

Add up the stickers you want to hand out or use, then divide by the number that fit on one sheet and round up. If you need 40 stickers of 2 inches, an 8.5 x 11 sheet holds about 15, so 40 divided by 15 is 2.7, which rounds up to 3 sheets. Because a sheet design is ordered as a set of at least 5 identical sheets, you would order 5 and keep the other two as spares.

Each sheet design is ordered as a set of 5 or more identical sheets, and the Other quantity takes any number from 5 to 1,000. For more than 1,000, contact us. A second, different sheet is another line in the cart with its own proof.

Questions people ask

How many 2 inch stickers fit on an 8.5 x 11 sheet?
About 15 in a simple grid, three across and five down, with a quarter inch margin and an eighth of an inch between stickers. Mixing in smaller stickers can fit more, and the proof shows your exact count.
How many 1 inch stickers fit on a 4 x 6 sheet?
About 15, in a grid of three across and five down. If you want more, mix in smaller stickers or nest die-cut shapes, and the designer will show the result on the proof.
Can different sizes share one sheet?
Yes. A sheet can hold large and small stickers together, and mixed sizes usually fit more than a single size. Say in the Notes for the designer field which should be biggest.
Can I put different designs on one sheet?
Yes. A sheet can mix any stickers. Upload each as its own file or send a ZIP of up to 50 files, and note how many of each you want. Every sheet in the line then carries the same layout.
How do I know the exact count before I pay?
The free proof. A designer lays out your sheet and emails it within 1 business day, showing every sticker and cut line. Changes are free, and you pay only after you approve.
What size is a standard sticker sheet?
There is no single standard. We print two sizes: 4 x 6 inches, postcard size, and 8.5 x 11 inches, letter size. Both are kiss-cut so each sticker peels off alone.
