How to get it right
Smaller sizes follow the curve
On a standard bottle a 2" sticker lies down without lifting at the edges. Go much past 3" on a narrow bottle and the corners start to tent, because flat vinyl has to bend in two directions at once. If you are working on a wide tumbler, 3" is comfortable — change it above and see the price.
Water is the easy part
The print sits under a clear laminate, so condensation, a sink, a gym bag and a bottle that spends its life half full do not touch the ink. Hand washing, the dishwasher, six months of being carried around — none of it reaches the print. Put it on the bottle you actually use - daily washing and carrying is the job it is made for.
How to apply it so it stays
Clean and dry the surface first; a new bottle usually carries a film from the factory. Place one edge, then roll the sticker down across the curve rather than pressing the middle first. Give it a few hours before it gets wet. Your order ships the next business day, and delivery takes 3-5 business days, free on every order.
Personalized stickers for individual bottles
A personalized run is usually one layout — name or initials swapped per person — sized to sit at the base of the bottle where a hand doesn't cover it while drinking. Circles and rounded rectangles both work at 2"; a name in a clean, bold font reads better at that size than a script with thin strokes. If you're doing a batch of different names for a team or a wedding party, each name is its own design line, so keep the layout identical and only the text moving between them — that keeps the quantity and price predictable per person.
Ordering water bottle stickers in bulk
A bulk order for an event, a gym, or a company store is still one design at a higher quantity rather than many small orders — 500 or 1000 brings the per-sticker cost down compared with ordering 50 five separate times. Decide the final size before committing to a large quantity, since a size change on a big batch means a new proof and a new cut. If the bottle you're branding might change model or color down the road, keep the die-cut shape simple enough that it still reads well on whatever ships next season.
Questions people ask about these
Is it dishwasher safe?
Yes. The laminate over the print takes the heat, the detergent and the spray without fading, smudging or lifting at the edges. Give a new sticker a few hours to bond before its first run.
What size should I order for a standard bottle?
2" is the safe default and what this page opens on. 3" works on wide tumblers and flasks. Anything larger belongs on a flat surface.
Will it peel at the edges?
Not if the surface was clean and dry when it went on and the size suits the curve. Edge lift almost always comes from one of those two things rather than from the sticker.
Can you make a sticker that wraps all the way around a bottle?
Not as a single stretch piece — these are flat die-cut vinyl, so they apply as one panel rather than stretching around a full curve. What works well instead is sizing a piece to cover roughly the front third to half of the bottle; going much wider than that on a narrow bottle causes wrinkling at the sides.
Are water bottle decals the same as water bottle stickers?
Decal and sticker mean the same waterproof, laminated piece here — the word doesn't change the material. What matters for a bottle is picking a size that follows the curve rather than fighting it, which is why 2" is the default size this page opens on.
Are these actually waterproof, or just water-resistant?
Waterproof. The print sits under a clear laminate instead of on the surface, so rain, sweat, condensation and a rinse under the tap do not reach the ink. It is the same laminated white vinyl as every custom sticker we print, not a lighter version made just for bottles.
