How to get it right
What we print, and what we do not promise
We print the pattern you supply, at the size and shape you choose. We do not publish an effectiveness rating and will not claim one: how well any pattern works depends on the glass, the light, the species and the spacing, and none of that is something a printer can measure for you. If you have a spacing standard you are working to, design to it and we will print it exactly as approved in the proof.
Why repositionable matters more here than anywhere else
Getting a pattern right on a particular window is a matter of trying it, standing back, and moving it. Adhesive vinyl gives you one attempt per piece. A cling gives you as many as you like - it lifts off with no residue and goes back on with a little water, so the same physical pieces can be shifted around the pane until the layout looks right, then left in place.
Inside or outside, and what the film needs
Static cling holds reliably on the inside of clean glass. Outside it holds on shaded or protected panes, but wind and rain on a fully exposed window will lift the edges over time - for outward-facing glass in the weather, adhesive vinyl is the material that lasts. Either way the glass has to be genuinely clean: the film attracts dust, and dust is what stops it clinging evenly.
Questions people ask about these
Do these stop birds hitting the window?
We print the pattern you choose and make no claim about how well any pattern works - that depends on the glass, the light and the spacing, and it is not something we can measure. What we can say is that a cling lets you move the pattern around until it looks right, which adhesive vinyl does not.
Can I print my own pattern?
Yes, that is all we print. Supply the artwork and the spacing you want and it is printed exactly as approved in the free proof.
How much of the window does the pattern cover?
Design the pattern with the view in mind: open space between the printed marks keeps the window usable, dense coverage blocks it. The proof shows exactly how much of the pane the pattern covers before anything is printed.
Can I move it after it is up?
As many times as you like. It lifts off with no residue and goes back with a little water - that is the main practical advantage over anything adhesive.
Can I order small separate marks?
Yes - sizes start at 4" on the longer side, so a pattern can be a set of small identical pieces spaced across the pane, or one larger cling carrying the whole pattern. Separate pieces are easier to adjust; one piece is quicker to put up.
How long does it take to arrive?
Two business days in production after proof approval, then free US shipping with 3-5 business days in transit.
