How to get it right
How much address fits inside a circle
A round sticker has less usable width than its diameter suggests, because lines near the top and bottom curve away from the edge. Three short lines usually fit at a readable size: the name, the street, and the city with state and ZIP. A fourth line for an apartment or suite number starts to shrink the type. Choose a plain, sturdy face for the address and dark ink on a light ground, or white on deep green, and save any script for the family name. On the proof, look at every line at the size it will print and squint at it the way a mail carrier would. If it feels tight, do not shrink the type; change the shape instead.
Wreath round or a wider rectangle
A 2" circle suits most cards and looks right when the address sits inside a wreath. Long addresses, a business name above a home address, or two family names call for a rectangle: a custom 3"x1" strip fits an address set on two long lines, and a 3"x1.5" gives you room for three. The die-cut follows whatever outline you draw, at the same cost as a circle, so a wreath-shaped sticker has the wreath itself as its edge instead of a printed wreath inside a plain round. Pick the shape first, then fit the words to it. One household means one design: one proof to approve, and every envelope and gift box matches.
From the card list to gift parcels and the mailbox
The same design serves the cards you send in early December and the gift boxes you ship to relatives, and because it carries no year, what is left in the box is next December's supply. Put it in the top left of the front, or on the back flap if you prefer. The vinyl is laminated and waterproof, so a parcel left on a wet porch or a card that sat in a damp mailbox still reads clearly. Because the address is printed on the sticker, compare it against your own records one more time on the proof: a wrong street or a missing apartment number cannot be edited once a run is printed. To have the stickers in your hands before the holidays, approve the proof by about December 11 for standard free shipping, or pick a faster carrier at checkout.
Questions people ask about these
Do these come as sheets of address labels?
No. Each one is a separate die-cut sticker, which is what lets the edge follow a wreath instead of a rectangle.
How many lines of text fit on a 2-inch round sticker?
Usually three short ones: name, street, and city with state and ZIP. For a longer address, switch to a wider custom rectangle in the calculator.
Can I check the address before it prints?
Yes. The free proof shows every line at print size, revisions are unlimited, and nothing prints until you approve it.
Will the sticker survive a wet mailbox or a porch package?
Yes. Laminated and waterproof, the vinyl keeps rain and damp off the ink.
Can I use the same sticker on gift boxes as well as cards?
Yes, on paper envelopes and cardboard boxes. Line it up carefully, because the adhesive does not allow a second try.
What if my address changes next year?
The address is part of the artwork, so a new address means a new design and a new proof. If a move is likely, order closer to what you will use this season; otherwise one run of 300 covers this season and next.
Will I see a proof before I pay?
Yes, for most files. Upload your design and the proof appears on screen in seconds, with the cut line, at the size and shape you chose - before you pay. If a file needs a designer's eye, we email the proof instead, and changes are free until it is right. Nothing prints until you approve it.
