How to get it right
Ten designs, or yours
The ten layouts below run from ornate scrollwork and an arched monogram to a plain line of block capitals. Under Design at the top of the page, tap Design it for me and then the design number, and type the names and the date in the box under it, exactly as they should read, with the wording if it differs from the sample - "Welcome to our wedding", "Our happily ever after", a ceremony time, a line in a second language. If you already have a finished design, upload it as a PNG, JPEG, PDF, AI or SVG instead and we print it as you made it. With no file at all, order and use the link we email afterwards.
Check both names and the date on the proof
A welcome sign is short, which is exactly why a mistake on it shows: it is the first thing every guest reads and the background of half the photos taken at the entrance. When the proof arrives, check the spelling of both names, the date and the order of month and day, and how the ampersand or the "and" sits between the names. Send corrections back until it is right - the sign goes to print only after you approve it.
Easel, mantel or full-length mirror
Measure the glass inside the frame, not the frame itself, and leave two or three inches clear on every side. A framed mirror on an easel or a mantel usually takes 18" x 24" or 24" x 30"; a floor or full-length mirror wants 36" x 48" so the words still read from across the room. Static cling also holds on polished acrylic, so the same sign can go on an acrylic board; it will not hold on wood, fabric or anything with a grain. Production is two business days after approval and shipping 3-5 business days.
Questions people ask about these
Can I change the wording on a design?
Yes. The designs are layouts, not fixed text: send "Welcome to the wedding of", a family name, a ceremony time or a line in another language, and the designer fits it to the layout you chose. You see it on the proof before it prints.
Can you make the sign in our wedding colors?
Yes. White ink is the classic look on a mirror, and colored lettering prints over a layer of white so it stays solid on the glass. Name the color in the wording box under Design, or upload a picture of your invitation for the designer to match.
Will it mark a rented mirror?
No. The film has no adhesive at all; it holds by static and comes off in one piece, leaving nothing to clean off the glass.
Can the welcome sign match our seating chart?
Yes - order both in the same cart and say so in the wording box. The seating chart has its own fifteen layouts, and the designer carries the fonts and ornaments across so the two read as a set.
How do I put it on the mirror?
Mist the clean glass with water, lay the cling on while it is wet, slide it level and smooth it from the middle outwards with a card. The video on this page shows it from start to finish.
How long does it take to arrive?
Production is two business days after you approve the proof, and free shipping takes 3-5 business days. Settle the wording before you order and the proof goes back and forth once rather than three times.
