How to get it right
Which logo file to send
A vector file is the best thing to send, because it can be scaled and cut cleanly at any size. A high-resolution PNG is also fine. A small image copied from a web page, a photo of a banner or a screenshot will print soft, since there is not enough detail to enlarge. If the logo comes in a light version and a dark version, send the one that suits a white vinyl background. The designer prepares the cut line along the outer edge of the logo, and the proof shows the result before anything prints.
Thin lines and small text at 3 inches
A crest that looks fine on a gym wall can lose its detail on a 3 inch sticker. Hairline borders, tiny mottos around a seal and fine shading can blur or disappear at this size. Two choices fix most of it: go up to 4 or 5 inches so the small parts grow with the sticker, or send a simplified version of the logo with the motto removed. The proof is the place to judge it, because it shows the sticker at its true proportions, and changes to the proof are free. Nothing prints until you approve it, so a second look costs nothing.
Where a logo sticker earns its place
The usual places are folders, notebooks, water bottles and the back of a staff name badge. A teacher can seal a take-home envelope with one, and a coach can put one on every equipment bag. Because the sticker is waterproof and made for outdoor use, it also works on a bottle that is washed or on a bag that sits in the rain. The adhesive is permanent. Choose the spot carefully, because there is no removable option. A sticker that goes on something you touch every day should be placed once and left alone.

Can you create a school logo for me?
We print the logo you send. The designer prepares the cut line, but we do not draw a new logo. If your school has no usable file, ask whoever manages its brand or communications for the original.
Are school logos copyrighted?
We cannot give legal advice. Use artwork your school has approved, and note that many schools have a brand or licensing office that can confirm what may be printed. We print the file you send.
Will the cut follow the shape of the logo?
Yes. A shield is cut as a shield and a seal as a circle, and the shape never changes the price. If you prefer a plain shape, a square, circle, rectangle or rounded rectangle is available too.
Can I get the logo on a clear sticker instead?

Do I need a different design for each size?
Not usually. The same file can be ordered at a different size, with each size as its own cart line. Check small text on the proof, since it is the first thing to get tight on a small sticker.
