How to get it right
Three counters, three stickers
A ski area has three places where a sticker earns its keep. The retail shop sells it next to the hats and gloves. The ski school gives one to every student at the end of a lesson block, a small graduation. The season-pass desk puts one in the envelope with the pass, so a new holder leaves with something to stick on a helmet. Each is its own design and its own line in the cart, with its own quantity and its own free proof, so the shop can reorder the peak design in volume while the school's design stays small. The die cut follows the mountain's outline at the same cost as a circle.
Helmets, skis, bottles and boot cases
Hard, smooth surfaces take the sticker best: a helmet shell, the top sheet of a ski, a water bottle, a boot case, a thermos. Keep a stack on the counter where lessons are booked, so students and parents see the design before they leave. The adhesive is permanent, so choose the spot first and apply it indoors at room temperature on a clean, dry surface. For a helmet, check your helmet maker's guidance on decals before you apply one; we print the file you send. Matte is a good choice on a matte helmet, glossy on a glossy shell, and the cost is the same.
Order before opening day
Snow does not wait for a printer. If the lifts open in late fall, plan to approve the proof a few weeks ahead so the stickers are at the shop, the school desk and the pass counter on day one. Orders ship the next business day after approval, with free USPS shipping that usually takes 3 to 5 business days. A new season or a new lodge opening is a new design, ordered as its own line. If a design sells well, reorder the same approved file; larger quantities lower the cost per sticker.
Questions people ask about these
What size ski resort sticker should I order?
Three inches is a good all-around size, and the calculator on this page opens at 3 x 3 inches. It reads on a helmet and a bottle alike. Preset sizes run from 2 to 6 inches, and any custom size is available.
Can I put a sticker on a ski helmet?
That is for your helmet maker to say. Check their guidance on decals before you apply one. We print the file you send.
Can the ski school and the pass desk have different stickers?
Yes. Each design is its own line in the cart, with its own quantity and its own free proof, so each department can have its own design.
Are the stickers waterproof?
Yes. The vinyl is laminated and waterproof, and it is made for outdoor use. The adhesive is permanent, so place it where you want it to stay.
Can the sticker be cut to the shape of our mountain?
Yes. We die-cut any outline at no extra charge, so a peak shape costs the same as a circle, and the free proof shows where the cut will fall.
How soon can they arrive before opening day?
The order ships the next business day after you approve the proof, and shipping in the US is free by USPS. Most files get an on-screen proof in seconds; a file that needs a designer's touch is usually emailed back within one business day.
