A visitor who asks where to eat can also leave with a sticker, and from there it rides home on a car window, a bottle or a laptop. That is the whole idea: the person who enjoyed your region carries its name to places your brochures never reach. Keep the badge simple, with the place name and one picture such as a mountain, a river or a covered bridge. Hand them out at the desk, at the welcome table, in the packet for a conference group and at the booth when the office travels to a trade show. One design per trail, byway and season

Choose matte if the badge is mostly dark and will sit on tinted glass in low sun; choose glossy for the deepest color. Both cost the same. Wipe the glass clean and dry before you apply, because the adhesive is permanent and you only get one try. Add a short line of instructions at the desk and it works.

What size sticker works best for a visitor center to hand out?
Four inches wide is a good size for a car window and still fits a bottle, and the calculator opens at 4 x 3 inches. Go smaller, around 3 inches, if you want a handout that fits any laptop. Any custom size from 1 x 2 inches up to 48 x 80 inches is available.
