How to get it right
One animal, one design, one cart line
A gift shop does not sell one sticker, it sells the otter, the penguin, the sea turtle and the jellyfish, and each of those sells at its own pace. On this site every design is its own line in the cart, with its own quantity and its own free proof. That means you can order a big run of the animal everyone asks for and a smaller run of the shy one, and when the otter runs out you reorder only the otter. The die cut follows each animal's outline at the same cost as a plain circle, so a long eel or a round puffer costs no more than a square.
Welcome packs, keeper talks and conservation drives
The register is only one door. A new member can get a sticker in the welcome pack, a family can get one at the end of a keeper talk, and a conservation campaign can have a design of its own that you hand out at the table by the exit. Each of those is a separate design, so you can count them separately and reorder only the ones that run low. Keep the wording on the sticker short: the animal, the zoo or aquarium name, and one line at most. A seasonal design for a new arrival or a holiday event is simply one more line.
An animal that still reads at 3 inches
At this size the outline does the work. Choose a bold silhouette, two or three colors, and keep fine whiskers and tiny scales out of the art. A flat illustration prints cleaner than a busy photo, though a clear photo of an animal that lives at your facility can work if the file is sharp. Use photos and artwork you own or have the rights to; official marks belong to their owners, and we print the file you send. The designer prepares the cut line, and the free proof shows it before anything prints. Matte is a good pick for a design with a lot of dark blue.

What size animal sticker sells best in a gift shop?
Three inches is a good starting point, and the calculator on this page opens at 3 x 3 inches. Many shops add a second, larger size for the animal that is the star of the facility. Preset sizes run from 2 to 6 inches, and any custom size from 1 x 2 inches up to 48 x 80 inches is available.
Can I order a different sticker for each animal?
Yes. Each design is its own line in the cart, with its own quantity and its own free proof, so ten animals are ten lines. No sheets of mixed designs are made; each sticker is one design.
Will the sticker survive on a water bottle that gets washed?
Yes. The vinyl is laminated, waterproof and dishwasher-safe, and the adhesive is permanent, so place it once and leave it.
Can I use photos of our own animals?
Photos you took, or own the rights to, are yours to print. We print the file you send, so use artwork you own or have the rights to. A sharp, close photo prints best, and the free proof shows exactly what the sticker will look like.
How do we add a new animal mid-season?
Start a new design and order it as its own line. It gets its own free proof and its own quantity, and the other animals are not touched. Larger quantities lower the cost per sticker, so reorder the ones that sell through.
