How to get it right
Statement art on a square wall
A 24x24 print works where a rectangle would feel wrong: above a sofa that is not very wide, between two windows, at the end of a hallway, behind a reception desk. The equal sides give color-block art, geometric patterns, bold photographs and typographic prints a calm, balanced look. At two feet across it is large enough to be the focal point of a small wall, and still easy to live with in a home. One print is often all a room needs; for a bigger statement, put two or four side by side.
Record covers and brand walls
A standard LP sleeve is 12x12 inches, so a 24x24 poster is a record cover at double scale, a good way to display favorite album art or to print your own band artwork. The same square suits studio logos, brand patterns and event-night key visuals that already live in a 1:1 layout, since nothing needs to be re-cropped. If you design in a square for social media, you can reuse that artwork here at the highest resolution you have. Our designer checks the file before the proof and tells you if the resolution will show.
File size, proof and delivery
For a raster design, 7200 by 7200 pixels gives 300 DPI at full 24x24 size; a vector PDF, AI or EPS stays sharp at any size. The proof is free, changes are free, and nothing prints until you approve it. Production takes 2 business days after you approve the proof, then shipping within the US is free and takes 3-5 business days by USPS. At this size the poster is rolled in a tube rather than folded. The paper is for indoor display, or outdoors only in a dry covered spot.
Questions people ask about these
Can I order just one 24x24 poster?
Yes. One poster per design is a normal order, with the same free proof as a larger run. The per-piece rate goes down from the second copy of the same design.
What resolution do I need for 24x24?
A vector PDF, AI or EPS is ideal. For a photo or raster file, 7200 by 7200 pixels gives 300 DPI at full size. Lower resolutions still print, just softer, and our designer tells you before the proof if it will show.
Is 24x24 a standard frame size?
Yes, 24x24 is a common frame size for square art. Check the frame's inner opening against 24 by 24 inches before you buy.
Can I use a 12x12 album cover design?
Yes, as long as the file is large enough. A 12-inch cover enlarged to 24 inches needs about 7200 by 7200 pixels for 300 DPI, so start from the original artwork rather than a small web image.
How is a 24x24 poster shipped?
Rolled in a tube, not folded. Free US shipping by USPS takes 3-5 business days after 2 business days in production.
What are the other square sizes?
The calculator has 15x15, 20x20, 24x24 and 36x36 as standard squares, plus custom sizes from 8 inches on the short side. See the square posters page to compare them.
