How to get it right
A sticker for every athlete, every season
All-star gyms and school squads run on tryouts and seasons. When the roster is set, the coach or team parent orders one sticker per athlete, one for each coach and a stack for the spirit pack, the first-day gift and the competition bag. A new season brings a new year, a new routine name or new colors, which is a new design and its own line in the cart with its own quantity and its own free proof. Keep a few for the athlete who joins late. Reorder at the start of each new season so the pile never runs out.
Bags, bottles, bow boxes and team gifts
Cheer athletes carry a lot: a competition bag, a bottle, a bow box, a locker full of team gifts. A holographic sticker catches the gym lights on all of them. It suits the lid of a bow box, the side of a bottle or a locker door - hard, smooth surfaces, not fabric. If a sticker will live outside, on a car window or a cooler, choose our laminated white vinyl stickers instead. The adhesive is permanent; choose the spot before you peel. A small holographic sticker on a plain bottle shows the shimmer best, because a clean surface lets the light move through the film.
Designing for the shimmer
On holographic vinyl, the rainbow shows through the parts of your artwork without ink. That means a megaphone drawn in solid purple shows purple, while the background around it can be left open to shimmer. Use bold shapes and thick lines so the contrast is clear, and avoid filling the whole sticker with ink or you hide the effect. The proof shows the cut line and the printed colors, but not the shimmer. That is normal for this film. Because it ships 2 business days after approval, order a little ahead of the first competition.
