How to get it right
One sticker design for every flavor
Bakers keep an assorted box straight with one design per flavor: gingerbread, peppermint bark, sugar cookie, shortbread. Each flavor counts as a separate design, approved on its own proof, with its own quantity, so give every flavor a color, keep the layout identical, and a stack of mixed bags reads as one collection. Order 25 of the flavor that sells slowly and more of the one that always sells out. If flavors feel like too many proofs, a single baked-by design with no flavor on it is the simplest run to approve. Print the flavor in letters you can read from across a market table, not in fine print along the edge.
Cut to the shape of the cookie cutter
A die-cut follows any outline in your artwork, and a custom outline costs no more than a circle, so bakers echo the shape inside the bag: a gingerbread person, a mitten, a star, an ornament. Keep the outline simple, without thin points that could snag the cellophane; our designer prepares and checks the cut line at no charge as part of the proof. Choose glossy for bold color seen through clear cellophane, and matte when the sticker should blend into kraft packaging and hide the fingerprints of hands just dusted with flour. Both use the same vinyl at the same price. To test a shape, cut it from paper and lay it on the bag first.
Cold porches, cookie swaps and boxes in the car
Cookies travel from a warm kitchen to a cold porch, a car trunk, a party table. Laminated waterproof vinyl means condensation on a bag or a lid will not smudge the ink or lift the sticker. Wipe the surface dry, then press it on the fold of the bag, the tin lid, a ribbon tag or the flap of the box. With a permanent adhesive there is no second try, so line it up before you press. Approve your proof by about December 11 if you want the stickers in hand before the last bake; later than that, you can pay for a faster carrier at checkout. This is a decorative seal; if your area requires ingredient or allergen information on baked goods, follow that requirement separately.
Questions people ask about these
Can the sticker go directly on a cookie?
No. It goes on the bag, tin, box or ribbon tag around the cookies, never on the cookie itself.
Can I have a different sticker for each cookie flavor?
Yes. Every flavor gets its own proof and its own count, so a bestseller can be ordered in a bigger run.
Will it stick to a cellophane bag or a kraft bakery box?
Yes, to cellophane, kraft paper and cardboard. Wipe the surface dry first, then press firmly along the whole edge.
What size works for a tin lid or a bakery box?
A 2" circle seals a bag or fits a small tin edge; 3"x3" reads better on a box lid. Pick either in the calculator to see the price.
Can I print the ingredients and allergens on it?
Any text you send can be printed, but a 2-inch seal has little room for a full list. Put ingredient details on a separate card or tag.
