How to get it right
Size the run from last December's orders
Open last year's order export and count the parcels between November 1 and December 31. That number is your base. Multiply it by the seals each parcel gets: one on the tissue and one on the box flap makes two. Then add for growth, and for stickers that leave the packing table for market booths, wholesale samples and gift-with-purchase bundles. A shop that shipped 200 parcels last December, with two seals each and a growth cushion, lands close to 500. Set the quantity in the calculator to match; the tiles go up to 1000, or type your own number. Write the count down, so next year you order from your own record instead of a guess.
Where the seal goes on a packing table
On tissue, fold the paper over the product and seal the overlap, so the customer meets your message before the item. On a box, center a 2-inch seal over the seam of the flap. On a mailer, keep the sticker clear of the shipping label so the barcode stays flat and scannable. Kraft and white cardboard both take the permanent adhesive; on a dark box, give the sticker artwork a light ground so it does not disappear. A short line does more than a long one: "Happy Holidays, thank you for your order" and your shop name, and stop there. Glossy and matte cost the same, so choose by your packaging: matte for boutique kraft, glossy for bright colors.
A mid-December restock and the January switch
Holiday volume is uneven, and one big week can empty a box of seals. Keep the artwork file: ordering the same design again goes through the same free proof, and the order ships the next business day after you approve it. Standard free shipping takes 3 to 5 business days after that, and a faster carrier is an option at checkout when the calendar is tight. Decide now whether the design carries a year. A design without one lets leftovers go back into next season's packing; a dated one is best used up. In January, switch to your everyday logo sticker, which is its own design, and order it alongside the holiday run so there is no gap.

How many stickers do I need for the December rush?
Count the parcels you shipped from November 1 to December 31 last year, multiply by the seals per parcel, and add a cushion. Five hundred, for example, is a couple of hundred parcels with two seals each.
What size should a holiday packaging sticker be?
A 2" circle seals tissue and a box flap; 3"x3" is easier to read on a mailer or a wide lid. Try both in the calculator; the price updates as you switch.
Can I put the sticker over the shipping label?
It is better not to. Keep it beside the label so the barcode is clean and scannable.
Can I run one design for tissue and another for the box?
Yes. Tissue and box can carry different artwork; you approve two proofs and set two counts.
What if we run out in mid-December?
Order the same design again, approve the proof, and it ships the next business day. Faster carriers are available at checkout.
What do I do with leftover stickers in January?
If the design has no year on it, save them for next season. Otherwise use them up on gifts and the last orders of the year.
