How to get it right
A round logo, cut to its shape
Most cafe marks are circles, cups, leaves or beans, and a printed decal can be cut around any of them. Pick the die cut shape and the cut follows the outer outline of your artwork, so there is no white rectangle behind it. For a circular logo with a ring of text, 24 x 24 inches reads from across a street, and 12 x 12 suits a narrow window. If the logo is a wordmark, a rounded rectangle behind the name often reads cleaner than a cut that hugs every letter. We print your design in full color and cut it to its outline. We do not make cut vinyl lettering, where each letter is a separate piece of single-color film.
The pickup window and the front door
A cafe has two pieces of glass that talk to customers: the pickup window and the door. The door gets the logo. The pickup window gets the instructions: order here, pickup, the seasonal drink. Those change every few weeks, and a cling comes off whenever the menu does, so it is the right film for them. Set Material to Static cling and Print to Mirror, then press them on the inside of the glass; they read correctly from the sidewalk. Keep a permanent decal out of the exact spot where the barista and the customer need to see each other, because White vinyl blocks the view through the area it covers.
From one window to a second location
Cafes reorder. A second location, a kiosk or a holiday window all use the same logo, so a file you approved once can print again. A shop with windows on both sides of the door can order two or more from one file; every piece is a copy of the artwork. A smaller piece for the door is a separate item with its own proof. White vinyl decals ship the next business day after you approve the free proof, while Clear vinyl and cling take two business days, so allow for that before a grand opening. Our coffee shop stickers page covers the small stickers and cup seals.
Questions people ask about these
What is the difference between window clings and window decals?
A decal stays; a cling moves. The logo is permanent adhesive vinyl on the outside of the glass. A menu or seasonal-drink notice on cling is held by static against the inside of the glass and replaced whenever the offer changes.
Where can I find custom window decals for my coffee shop?
Order them here, from one piece. Pick a size, upload your logo or send it afterward, and choose White vinyl, Clear vinyl or Static cling under Material. A person checks the file and sends a free proof before anything prints.
How long do window clings stay on?
A cling is held by static, not adhesive, so it stays on clean, smooth, protected glass and peels off when you choose. We do not put a number on how long. It is meant for notices you plan to replace, such as a menu or a seasonal drink.
What size coffee shop window decal should I order?
A 24 x 24 inch round logo reads well on a front window, and a narrow pickup window may want 12 x 12. You can type any size, from 1 x 3 inches upward, so a small badge for the door is possible too.
Can the decal be cut in the shape of my logo?
Yes. A die cut follows the outer edge of your artwork, so a cup, a leaf or a bean-shaped mark sits on the glass with no rectangle around it. Circles, squares, rectangles and rounded corners are also on offer.
Can I put my whole menu on the window?
A short list works on a cling inside the glass, printed Mirror. A full menu changes too often for permanent vinyl, which cannot be edited, so keep the decal for the logo.
