How to get it right
A logo wall for the lobby or reception desk
The wall behind reception does the job of a sign, so it needs one clear mark. Start from the wall itself: mark a 48 x 24 inch rectangle on it with painter's tape, walk back to the door, and check that the logo reads without leaning in. Center it over the desk or the seating, at a height that no plant or monitor will block. The surface should be smooth, painted, clean and dry. We make no promise for brick, concrete block, stucco or deeply textured paint. The adhesive is permanent and cannot be repositioned, so settle the spot with tape before you press anything on. A 48 x 24 piece arrives rolled in a tube, not folded.
Cafes, shops and gyms: your own design, not a stock quote
A wall decal for your business can be your own artwork: the cafe name with the mark beside it, a slogan in your brand colors, an illustration of the neighborhood, a training motto for the gym floor. Full-color printing handles gradients and photos, and the cut follows the outer outline of the artwork. A line of words arrives as one printed piece with every word already in place, which also makes it easy to hang level. Each letter as a separate cut piece is a different product that we do not make. Put the biggest word where people stand and look, and keep fine print off a wall that is read from ten feet away.
A wall wider than one piece: plan the panels
One piece can be up to 48 x 80 inches, so a longer wall takes several panels side by side. Plan the seams in the artwork before you send it, and put them where a straight line already belongs, between two words or at the edge of a shape. Each panel is its own file and gets its own proof, and the proof shows the cut line for each. Panels of one design are a single cart item with a quantity. Laminated white vinyl ships the next business day after you approve the proof. We print the pieces and do not install them, so mark each panel on the back when it arrives and lay out the order on the floor before the first one goes up.
Questions people ask about these
How can I create a custom wall decal?
Type the width and height in the calculator, upload your logo or artwork (PNG, JPEG, PDF, AI or SVG) or send it after you order through the link we email, and approve a free proof that a real person checks.
How much does a custom wall decal cost?
A wall decal is priced by its size and by how many pieces you order. Type your width and height and the calculator shows the price before anything goes into the cart; extra copies cost less each. The proof and the shipping across the US cost nothing.
Can I take a wall decal off later?
Plan on leaving it where you put it. The adhesive is permanent, and we cannot say how the paint will look afterward. Think about that before you order for a rented space or a wall you repaint often.
What kind of wall does it stick to?
A smooth, painted, clean, dry wall is what it is made for. We make no promise on brick, concrete block, stucco or heavily textured paint, because the adhesive needs a flat surface to meet.
How big can one wall decal be?
Up to 48 x 80 inches as a single piece, and as narrow as 1 x 3 inches at the other end. A longer or taller wall is split into several panels, each with its own file and proof.
Can you cut each letter of a slogan separately?
No. A slogan is printed as one piece and cut along the outer outline of the artwork. Separate cut vinyl letters are a different product, and we do not sell them.
