Daycare and Preschool Window Decals

A daycare window works best with a bright shape and a clear name. A 36 x 18 inch decal fits the glass beside the entrance: the center's name in large letters, and a logo with a sprout, a sun or an animal cut along its outline. Parents read it from the car, so keep the words short. Printed in full color on laminated white vinyl, it stays solid on the glass. Now Enrolling, open-house dates and seasonal art change, so they go on a Static cling inside the window, where you can swap them without scraping anything.

How to get it right

A shape parents can find from the car

Parents drive up, read the building and decide in a few seconds whether it is the place. A decal cut to the outline of a friendly logo, such as a sun, a tree, a lion or a bold letter, stands out against brick and glass. Set the center's name in plain, rounded letters at a size a driver can read, and add at most one short line, such as Preschool and Child Care. A 36 x 18 panel is wide enough to hold the name on one line. A die cut keeps a white box from sitting behind the shape. Skip ages, hours and enrollment dates on the permanent piece, since they change and belong on a cling.

Now Enrolling and the seasons, on cling

A center that runs through every season has the same problem each month: the window should look new without a new permanent sign. Make a Now Enrolling panel, a Summer Camp panel, a snowflake and a fall leaf on Static cling. Each one is printed Mirror and hung on the inside of the glass, so it reads correctly from the street. With no adhesive involved, swapping is a peel and a press, and a cling holds on smooth, clean glass. The logo decal stays up through every change while the clings come and go. Each cling is its own design with its own free proof.

The entrance door, the front windows and a second room

Many centers have a glass entrance door, a row of windows along the front and a second set of glass at the pickup point. The logo goes on the door or on the biggest window. Smaller matching pieces, such as the logo alone, suit a side window or an interior glass partition. Each size is its own item with its own proof, and a count above one prints copies of the same file. A designer sets the cut line, and the free proof comes back for you to check; changes on it are free. Apply to clean, dry, smooth glass. Check your lease and city rules for signs; we print what you design.

Questions people ask about these

What is the difference between window clings and window decals?

A decal is permanent adhesive vinyl, a good home for the center's name and logo on the outside of the glass. A cling carries no adhesive, so Now Enrolling, open-house dates and seasonal art can go on the inside of the glass and be swapped as the calendar moves.

What should a daycare window decal say?

The center's name, a logo and at most one short line are enough. Ages, hours and enrollment dates change, so put those on a Static cling inside the glass instead of on permanent vinyl.

Can the decal be cut to the shape of my logo?

Yes. Pick die cut and the cutter traces the outline of your artwork, so a sun, a sprout or an animal is cut as that shape with no border box. If a plain shape suits your logo better, a circle, square, rectangle or rounded rectangle is also available.

What size daycare window decal should I order?

36 x 18 inches is a good size for the glass beside the entrance. Measure your window, leave a margin and type the exact size; nothing prints larger than 48 x 80 inches on vinyl or 48 x 48 on Static cling.

Can I print my own window decal with my logo?

Yes. Send the logo you already use, as a PNG, JPEG, PDF, AI or SVG file, with the order or afterward, and a designer prepares the cut line around its shape. You see a free proof, and any change you ask for on it is free.

How fast can I have a Now Enrolling cling?

The free proof usually comes back within one business day. After you approve it, a Static cling ships in two business days, and white vinyl ships the next business day. Free USPS shipping takes 3 to 5 business days. We cannot name a delivery date, so work back from your open house.
