Custom Golf Cart Decals

A golf cart has two good places for a decal, the front cowl and the rear body. The page opens at 10 x 4 inches, drawn to scale on a cargo van so you can judge the size against a real vehicle; order two to cover both places. Send a cart name, a community or course logo, or a family name with a lot number. The cut follows the outside of your design, and a piece this small ships flat. Keep the front and the rear the same size so the cart looks matched. A cart number or a sponsor mark is its own design.

How to get it right

Front cowl, rear body and the smooth panels between

A golf cart has a few smooth panels and not much else, so pick the spot before you pick the size. The front cowl is the largest and most visible, and it is where a name or logo at this size sits comfortably. The rear body panel and the sides below the seat take a smaller mark, such as a lot number or a course crest. Seams, vents, molded ridges and the lip around a bag well make poor bases. Measure the flat area with a tape, leave a margin around the edges, and type those exact numbers in. Wash the panel and let it dry fully, then lay a strip of tape where the edges will go, because a permanent decal cannot be nudged afterward.

Names, crests and photos at cart size

A cowl is wider than it is tall, so a long, low layout fits best: a name on one line with a small mark beside it. Strong contrast reads from farther away, and the smallest mark on the decal should still be easy to make out at arm's length. Photos and gradients print like any other art, so a sunset, a team crest or a grandchild's drawing is as easy as a wordmark. A die cut hugs the outline of your design, and a rounded rectangle gives a tidy cowl badge. If the rear body panel is bigger than the cowl, the calculator accepts any size up to 48 x 80 inches for it.

Personal carts, fleets and tournament sponsors

In a retirement community or a lakeside neighborhood, a dozen identical carts can sit in a row outside the clubhouse. A family name or a lot number settles which one is yours, and a pair covers the front and the back. Courses and resorts usually want one logo decal on every cart, so type the number of carts times the pieces per cart. Tournament sponsors can ride the rear panel for the season, each sponsor mark as its own design with its own file. Cart numbers are the catch, because each number is a design of its own; a numbered fleet of forty is forty files and forty proofs. The adhesive is permanent, so check your course or community rules before a decal goes on.

Questions people ask about these

Where can I get custom decals for my golf cart?

Order them here from your own artwork: a cart name, a logo, a lot number or a photo. Type your size, upload your file and approve the free proof.

What size golf cart decal should I order?

Front cowls vary from cart to cart, so measure yours first. This page opens at 10 x 4 inches, and the calculator takes whatever width and height you enter.

Can each cart in a fleet have its own number?

Yes, though every number means another file and another proof. The simpler order is one logo decal for every cart, with each number added as its own cart item.

Can the decals come off after a charity event?

No, they are made to stay. The permanent adhesive has no removable or repositionable option, so a one-day event is a poor fit. Keep decals for names and sponsors that last the season.

Do you print golf cart wraps or body kits?

No. We print individual decals in full color, cut to your outline or to a plain rectangle, and we do not make wraps or body kits.

Will a decal hold on a cart that lives outdoors?

Rain and snow roll right off the waterproof, laminated vinyl. Wash the panel, let it dry, and press the whole decal down firmly.
