How to get it right
Hard things, smooth surfaces
Name stickers belong on the hard objects that look alike in a pile: water bottles, lunch boxes, pencil cases, a hard-shell tablet case, a plastic folder, a sports bottle in the gym bin. Wipe the surface clean and dry before you press the sticker on, and press from the center out. The vinyl is waterproof, so a splash does not harm it. For anything else, such as a surface that is rough, flexible or textured, test one sticker first, because a sticker holds best on something smooth and flat.
Big, medium and small on one sheet
One name rarely needs one size. A water bottle takes a name large enough to spot across a classroom, a pencil case takes a smaller one, and a pair of tiny stickers can go on the lid of a glue stick or a marker. Ask the designer for the same name in three or four sizes on the sheet, with the same small picture beside it so they match. A short name might fill a wide strip; a long first and last name might need two lines. All these sizes can live in one layout, since a layout may mix many stickers; the whole line then prints that layout on each sheet.
One sheet per child, and a proof that reads like a roll call
Brothers and sisters need their own sheets. One order line is one sheet layout, so each child's sheet is a separate line in the cart with its own proof, and a family of three orders three lines. Use the proof like a roll call: check each letter, any capital or double letter, and any spelling your family uses that a stranger would not guess. You can ask for changes at no charge, and nothing prints until you approve. No picture file? Describe the rocket or the star under Design it for me, which is free, and the designer draws an original.
Questions people ask about these
What can I put name stickers on?
Hard, smooth things: water bottles, lunch boxes, pencil cases, hard tablet cases, plastic folders and sports bottles. Clean and dry the surface first and press from the center out.
Can one sheet have the name in different sizes?
Yes. Ask the designer for the name in three or four sizes on one sheet, so a large sticker goes on the bottle and small ones go on pencils and markers. A layout may hold many stickers at once.
How do I order for more than one child?
Each child's sheet is its own layout, so each is its own line in the cart with its own free proof. Every sheet within a line is identical, which is why siblings are ordered separately.
Will the proof check the spelling?
The proof shows the name exactly as the designer set it from your order, and you check it. Read each letter, then approve. Revisions are free, and payment is taken only once you have approved the proof.
Can I add a picture, like a rocket or a star?
Yes. Upload your own picture, or describe one under Design it for me and the designer makes an original. Characters and logos you do not own are not copied.
When will the sheets arrive?
The free proof comes by email within 1 business day. The next business day after you approve it, sheets ship free by USPS, arriving in 3-5 business days, with faster options at checkout.
