Pet Grooming Window Decals

  • Ships next day
  • Free shipping
  • Free proof — pay after you approve
A grooming salon sells with its window, and a 30 x 20 inch decal gives you room for what pet owners look for: the salon name, a paw or dog silhouette cut along its outline, a line of services and one phone number. Put it low enough that someone holding a leash can read it, and leave a pane open if you want people to see the work. White vinyl is solid and laminated. Clear vinyl lets the salon show around the artwork. Booking hours and holiday notices go on a cling inside.

How to get it right

A paw, a dog or a pair of scissors, cut to the outline

Pet owners recognize a groomer by the mark: a paw, a dog in a bath, a pair of scissors. Pick die cut and the decal follows the outline of your artwork, so a paw-shaped logo is a paw on the glass, not a paw inside a box. Keep the details big. A 30 x 20 panel holds the name in large letters, the shape beside it and a line such as Dog and Cat Grooming, while fine whiskers disappear from across the street. Full-color printing handles gradients if your brand has them. Match the shape, the colors and the name to your sign and your social profiles, so a new client who finds you online recognizes the front.

Which pane gets the decal, and which stays clear

The best thing a grooming window can show is a dog being brushed, so do not cover it. A solid white panel on the working window would hide the very thing people stop to watch. Put the decal on the door or on a side pane, and leave the working window open. If the logo has to sit on the working window, choose Clear vinyl under Material: the glass shows around the shape, and the salon stays visible. Whichever film you choose, stand outside before you order and tape a sheet of paper cut to 30 x 20 inches onto the glass, then walk past it at the speed of a person with a dog on a leash.

Booking hours, holiday slots and the mobile van

A groomer's window changes with the calendar: holiday booking slots, a vacation closure, a spring de-shedding week. Put those on a Static cling, printed Mirror, on the inside of the glass, where it reads from the sidewalk and peels off when the date passes. The permanent decal carries the name and the phone number, which rarely change. A mobile groomer can use the same file on the van, and our van decals page covers vehicle sizes. Larger pieces are rolled in a tube, not folded. Once the proof is approved, white vinyl is out the door the next business day, and clear or cling the business day after that.

Questions people ask about these

What is the best vinyl for a pet grooming window decal?

For the outside of a storefront window, White vinyl: it is laminated, waterproof and opaque, in gloss or matte. Choose Clear vinyl when the glass should show around the design, and Static cling for notices that go inside the glass and come down.

What should a pet grooming window decal say?

The salon name, your shape and one line of services are enough, plus one phone number. A tagline can be as short as four words, such as Fresh Cuts, Happy Pups. Read each digit of the phone number on the proof at full size.

Can the decal be cut in the shape of a paw or a dog?

Yes. A die cut follows your artwork's outline, so a paw print or a dog profile is cut as a paw or a dog, not as a rectangle. A designer prepares the cut line, and you see it on the free proof before anything is made.

Can customers still see the dogs through the window?

Not through White vinyl: it is opaque wherever it covers. Put the decal on the door or a side pane, or choose Clear vinyl so the glass shows around the shape. We do not make perforated one-way film.

I groom from a van. Can I use the same design?

Yes, the same file works on a vehicle. Our van decals page covers vehicle sizes, and one piece can run up to 48 x 80 inches on vinyl.

What size pet grooming window decal should I order?

30 x 20 inches suits a main window or a door. Measure the pane and type its exact width and height; a van door or a larger glass front can go up to 48 x 80 inches.
