How to get it right
Outside the glass, or inside and reading out
A vinyl sticker goes on the outside face of the glass with permanent adhesive. From the inside you see its plain white back, so choose the pane with that in mind: a side window or a corner of the door glass, not the view over the counter. If you want the sticker mounted on the inside and read from the outside, that is a static cling printed Mirror, and our window clings page covers it. A cling has no adhesive, so it can be taken down and replaced when your provider or phone number changes. It is meant for glass that is protected from the weather, which includes the inside face of a window or a door.
What goes on an alarm or camera sticker
Three things: who, how to reach them, and what is protecting the place. The who is your company logo or the name of your alarm provider. The how is a phone number, set large. The what is a short line such as Video Surveillance or Alarm System Installed. Use only wording that is true for the building, since we print exactly what you send and cannot check it. Keep the sticker to those three things on a plain background, because a crowded sticker reads worse than a plain one. The free proof shows every digit of the number at real size.
One design for every install, or one for each door
Alarm and camera companies usually hand every customer the same sticker, so order one design and reorder it as the jobs come in; each new batch gets its own free proof. A shop or an office with several entrances puts one on each door and one on the window beside the entry. Eye level near the door handle is where people look. A square is the plain choice. A shield or badge outline cut to the artwork is the same product at the same price, and every different wording or logo is its own item in the cart.
Questions people ask about these
Do security stickers actually work?
We print the sticker. We cannot promise that it deters anyone, and no sticker replaces a working alarm or camera. What it does is tell people that the building has one, so use it only where that is true.
Where can I get custom security stickers for windows?
From us. Choose your size, upload your logo and wording or send the file after you order, and approve a free proof checked by a real person before anything prints. White vinyl stickers ship the next business day after approval, then USPS delivers them free across the US.
Can I put the sticker inside the window and read it from outside?
A vinyl sticker is made for the outside face of the glass. For the inside of the glass, order a static cling printed Mirror: it has no adhesive and reads correctly from outside. Our window clings page has the sizes.
Will it hold up in rain and sun?
It is laminated, waterproof vinyl, made to sit on the outside of the glass. We do not promise a lifespan, because weather and sun exposure differ from one building to the next.
Can I take a security sticker off later?
A vinyl sticker is meant to stay, and its adhesive is permanent. If you do peel one off, we cannot say how the glass will look. A notice you expect to swap later belongs on a static cling instead.
Do you make tamper-evident labels?
No. These are window and door stickers for alarms and cameras. Tamper-evident labels, which show when a seal has been broken, are a different product, and we do not make them.
