How to get it right
For alarm companies: one design, spares for every install
A company that installs systems wants a decal on every job that looks like the company, not like a catalog. Put the logo, the company name and a phone number on one design, and keep the wording short enough to read at the door. Order for the installs you expect and add spares: a second door, a replacement after a repair, a branch office. If two branches use different phone numbers, they are two designs, so say so in the note and the proof will show how each is set up. Homes and small businesses can order the same way with their own wording.
Next to the entry, at eye level
Put the decal where a person approaching the door will see it before they reach for the handle: on the glass beside the entry, or on the door itself, around eye height. A rectangle around 4 x 2.5 inches holds a logo, a line of text and a camera or bell icon. A wide glass door can take more, up to 6 inches or a size typed into Other. Because the print sits over white, a red or yellow warning color stays strong against the view through the glass. Check your lease before you put anything on the glass.
Say only what is true
Wording on a door is a statement to the public, so keep it honest. Print a camera icon or the word VIDEO only where cameras are in use. Name an alarm company only where that company's system is installed. If you are unsure whether your area has rules about posted notices, ask the local authority; we print the wording you send and do not advise on legal requirements. The proof is your chance to read each word again, with the phone number checked digit by digit, and approving it is what starts printing. Nothing is printed before that, and changes at the proof stage cost nothing.
Questions people ask about these
Can the decal carry my alarm company's logo and phone number?
Yes. Upload your own logo and wording and we print them as sent. We do not copy brand marks you do not own, so use only artwork you have the right to use.
Why put an alarm decal inside the glass?
From the inside it cannot be picked at or peeled from the walkway, and weather stays on the far side of the pane. It reads through the glass, mirrored automatically so the wording runs the right way for people outside.
What size should an alarm window decal be?
A 4 x 2.5 inch rectangle holds a logo, a short line and an icon. The choices run from 2 to 6 inches, plus Other for a size that suits a wide door.
Can I order decals for several branches?
Yes, as separate designs when the phone number or the name differs, each with its own proof. Identical decals share one design, so you can order spares for every install together.
Can I put camera wording on a decal if there is no camera?
We would advise against it. Print only what is true for the property. Check with your local authority whether any rules apply to posted notices, since we cannot give legal advice.
How long until the decals are printed and shipped?
The free proof comes first and changes cost nothing. Decals print 2 business days after you approve, payment is taken after approval, and USPS delivery is free. Quicker delivery can be chosen at checkout.
