How to get it right
The flat face inside the frame
Measure the flat face, not the whole sign. Take the width and height of the open panel inside the frame's border, then leave a small gap at every edge so the decal sits clear of the frame. Do both faces, because the two sides of a board can differ. The face has to be clean, dry and smooth. Chalk dust, flaking paint, a rough finish or the leftover glue of an old graphic will keep a decal from holding. The vinyl itself is waterproof. Before you peel anything, tape the decal to the face and check the gaps all round against the frame, because the adhesive is permanent. The drawing shows a plain wall, not a frame, so use it for the size of the piece only.
Name and logo on the decal, specials somewhere else
A sidewalk sign gets two or three seconds from someone walking by. A tall 24 x 36 face takes a simple stack: the logo at the top, the name beneath it and one short line about what you sell. Make the name the largest thing on the face. Prices, today's special and this week's hours will be out of date long before the decal is. A printed poster is the better home for that, and so is a window cling in your shop glass. Choose the shape to match the face: a plain rectangle, rounded corners, or a cut that follows your design's own outline. Photos and gradients print well in full color too. Two faces, one face, or a set of boards
One board has two faces, so a count of 2 covers it, and a single file prints both. Two boards make 4. If one face stays free for chalk or a poster, set the count to 1 and the decal goes on the other. If the faces differ, upload one file per face and approve a proof for each, because every design is ordered on its own. A real person checks each proof, and it is free. A 36-inch decal travels rolled in a tube. The pair goes out on the business day after proof approval; shipping within the US costs nothing. We do not sell the A-frame or a slide-in insert, so the board is yours to supply.

What size decal fits a 24 x 36 A-frame sign?
The drawing opens at 24 x 36 inches. Frames differ, so measure the flat face inside yours, leave a small gap at the edges and type in your own measurements.
Is this an A-frame insert or a decal?
It is a decal: vinyl with a permanent adhesive that goes on the face of the sign. It is not a slide-in insert, and we do not sell the frame.
Can I change the message later?
No. A decal stays where it is put, since the adhesive is permanent. For specials that change, use a printed poster or a window cling, and keep the decal for your name and logo.
Will it stick to a chalkboard face?
Not a good match. Chalk dust, flaking paint and a rough finish all work against the adhesive, which needs the face to be clean, dry and smooth.
Can each face carry a different design?
Yes. Every design is a separate cart item: upload one file per design and approve one free proof per design.
Can I get an arched top or another shape?
Yes. You can choose a rectangle, rounded rectangle, square or circle, or let the cut trace the outer edge of your artwork, as in an arched top. Cut-outs inside the design are not offered.
