How to get it right
One crest, one mascot, one wordmark: build the set
A college rarely needs only one sticker. Admissions can hand out the crest on a campus visit, orientation can give the mascot to new students, a department can add its own wordmark, and the bookstore can stock whichever sells. You can order a few more of the crest than of the wordmark, because every design is a separate line in the cart with its own quantity and its own free proof. Keep the size the same across the set and the stickers look like a family when they land on one laptop. Every sticker within a design prints the same: there are no sheets of different designs and no individual names.
Laptops, bottles and the matte-or-glossy choice
Students put stickers where other people will see them: laptop lids, water bottles, planners and bike frames. Glossy gives navy and gold a deep shine, matte is flat and shows less glare, and the choice does not change the price. The laminate over the white vinyl makes the sticker waterproof, so a bottle can go through the dishwasher. The vinyl is made for outdoor use, and the adhesive is permanent: there is no removable version, so decide where it goes before you peel the backing. A planner cover or a bike frame is a good test of how the sticker will be used.
Using your college's official marks
Crests, seals and mascots usually belong to the college, so use artwork your school, college or chapter has approved. Many schools have a brand or licensing office that can send the current files. We print the file you send, and the designer prepares the cut line. A vector file is best and a high-resolution PNG also works. The free proof is the place to catch a cut that crowds the edge of the crest or a color that looks off, because nothing prints until you approve it. If the crest has a thin ring of small type, ask the designer how it will look at this size.
Questions people ask about these
Can a college department order its own stickers?
Yes. An office, a department or a club can each order its own design. Send artwork that your college has approved for that group, and the proof shows the cut line before you pay.
What is a college sticker?
It is a sticker that carries a college's crest, mascot, name or colors. Ours are made to order from your artwork and cut to its outline, not picked from a catalog of ready-made designs.
Where should I put a college sticker on a car?
Put it on clean, dry glass or paint. The vinyl is made for outdoor use, but the adhesive is permanent, so pick the spot with care. For designs made for cars, see our school spirit car decals page.
Can I add a QR code to a college sticker?
Yes. Put the code in your artwork on a white panel with a clear margin, and scan it on the proof before you approve. For a code you can repoint later, see our QR code stickers page.
Do the stickers come on a sheet?
No. Each sticker is die cut on its own, and one design is one cart line. A sheet that mixes several designs is not an option.
How soon can we have them for orientation?
Most orders ship the next business day after you approve the proof. Free USPS shipping takes 3 to 5 business days with tracking, and faster upgrades are available at checkout, so count back from your first day.
