How to get it right
A lid takes more sticker than people expect
The lid of a mid-size hard cooler gives you somewhere around ten inches of usable flat width, and a 3" sticker centered on it looks lost. Four inches is the smallest size that holds the panel; 6" and custom sizes up to 48" are there for the brands that treat the lid as a billboard. The side panels are narrower and usually take 3" to 4" instead.
Textured plastic, and how to make the adhesive work
Rotomoulded coolers have a deliberately pebbled surface, which gives adhesive less contact area than glass or a laptop lid. The material handles it, but the application does the work: clean the panel with isopropyl alcohol rather than soap, let it dry completely, then press the whole sticker down firmly from the center outward and give it a day before the cooler goes into water or ice.
Sun, ice water and a season on a boat
This is what laminated vinyl is for. The laminate carries the UV load so the print underneath holds its color outdoors for years, and the film is waterproof rather than merely water-resistant, so sitting in melted ice does not cloud it. Matte hides the scuffs a cooler collects; glossy keeps a logo saturated in direct sun. Both cost the same.
Questions people ask about these
Will a sticker hold on a textured cooler?
Yes, with preparation. Wipe the panel with isopropyl alcohol, let it dry, and press the whole sticker down rather than tapping the middle. The pebbled surface means less contact area than glass, so the pressing step is what decides whether it lasts.
What size sticker fits a cooler lid?
Four inches as a default, 6" or a custom size if the lid is the point. Side panels are narrower and usually take 3" to 4".
Do you sell ready-made cooler sticker packs?
No. Everything here is printed from your own artwork - a logo, a name, a crew or event mark. If you want a pack of designs somebody else drew, we are not that shop.
Will it survive sun, ice and lake water?
The material is laminated waterproof vinyl, the same as we use for water bottles and outdoor work, and it holds its print outdoors for years. What ages first is always the adhesive bond, so the application matters more than the film.
What is the smallest order?
Ten per design is the online minimum. Twenty-five leaves spares for the second cooler and for the one that gets scratched - order whatever you actually need. Price per sticker drops as the quantity rises, which is why outfitters and dealers order in volume.
How do I remove it later?
The adhesive is permanent, so removal means gentle heat from a hair dryer, lifting slowly from one corner, and isopropyl alcohol for whatever residue is left. We do not offer a removable adhesive option.
Will I see a proof before I pay?
Yes, for most files. Upload your design and the proof appears on screen in seconds, with the cut line, at the size and shape you chose - before you pay. If a file needs a designer's eye, we email the proof instead, and changes are free until it is right. Nothing prints until you approve it.
