How to get it right
Two sides, one logo, a set of numbers
Most teams put the same logo on both sides of the helmet, so the count is two per player plus spares - a roster of 25 is about 55 logo decals. Numbers usually go on the back, each one a separate design with its own quantity, because no roster needs the same count of every number. Add each number to the cart as its own line and each gets its own proof.
Sized for a curved shell
A football shell curves in every direction. Around 3 inches, a logo lies flat on the side panel; much larger and the edges fight the curve. Numbers on the back read well at about 2 inches. Clean the shell with isopropyl alcohol, let it dry, and press the decal from the center out so the edge seals. The laminate is the same one we use for outdoor jobs, made for rain, sun and a season in an equipment bag.
Youth leagues, flag football and booster clubs
Youth programs and booster clubs often order at the start of the season and again when the roster changes. Because the logo file stays on the order, a mid-season player only needs a new number, at the same size, with a fresh proof. Helmet manufacturers and leagues set their own rules about what goes on a shell and where; we print your artwork and make no claim about those rules, so check yours before the first game.

What size decal fits a football helmet?
About 3 inches for a side logo and about 2 inches for a back number fit most youth and high school shells. The calculator takes any custom size if your helmet or logo needs something different.
How many decals does a team need?
Usually two logos per helmet, one per side, plus a few spares - and a number per player as separate designs.
Can each player have their own number?
Yes. Each number is its own small design and its own line in the cart, with its own proof. Each number line has the same minimum quantity as any design, so one player's number comes as a small set with spares for later in the season.
Will the decals hold up for a season?
They are laminated waterproof vinyl with a permanent adhesive, made for outdoor use and handling.
Are these approved for game use?
We do not make claims about league or helmet-manufacturer rules. Check with your league and follow the helmet maker's guidance before applying anything to a shell.
Will I see a proof before I pay?
