How to get it right
What goes on a fundraiser poster
Put four things on it, in this order: the name of the event, the date and time, the place, and what the money is for. The last one does the most work. "PTA Pancake Breakfast" says what is happening; "new books for the school library" says why to come. Then add one clear way to help: a name to ask for, a table to find, an address to type. If you want a QR code to your donation page, put it in your design, in a corner, and scan it on the free proof before you approve. Leave a code room, because a small one is hard to scan from where people stand.
Where fundraiser posters get hung
The best spots are the places your supporters already go. A cafe or shop window takes a poster on the inside of the glass, facing the street. A community board takes 11x14 or 12x18 without crowding its neighbors, and a school hall or lobby wall can carry 24x36. Ask first, because most windows and boards have a say in what goes up. The paper is semi-gloss and is not waterproof, so keep posters indoors, or outside only in a dry place such as under a roof or behind glass. Kept dry, a poster stays up for the whole campaign.
Size, quantity and a date that cannot move
Count places, not people: one poster per window, per board, per hallway. The price per poster goes down as the quantity goes up, and the calculator shows the exact price before you add anything to the cart. The proof usually arrives within one business day. Production takes two business days after you approve it, and free US shipping takes 3-5 business days. Posters up to 15" ship flat; larger ones ship rolled in a tube, never folded. Work back from the day of the event, and leave the proof a day of its own.
Questions people ask about these
How can I create a poster for a fundraiser?
Make one page with the event name, the date and time, the place, what the money is for and one way to help, and upload it as your finished design. A designer checks the file before the proof, and the proof is free, with changes at no charge until you approve it. We print the design you send, exactly as you approve it.
What does it cost to print a fundraiser poster?
The price depends on the size and the number of copies, and the calculator shows it before you add anything to the cart. The price per poster goes down as the quantity goes up. The proof and US shipping are free, and your card is charged only after you approve the proof.
Can I order just one fundraiser poster?
Yes. A single poster is a normal order, with the same free proof as a larger run.
Can I put a QR code on a fundraiser poster?
Yes. Put the code in your artwork - a corner of the design works well - and scan it on the free proof before you approve. Give the code room and keep it off the edge, so it scans from the distance people stand at.
Can I hang a fundraiser poster in a shop window or outside?
In a window, yes - on the inside of the glass, facing out. Outside, only in a dry place such as under a roof. The paper is not waterproof, so keep water off it; kept dry, it stays up as long as you need.
How is a fundraiser poster different from an event poster or a campaign poster?
The paper, the sizes and the shipping are the same. The message is different. An event poster sells a date and tickets, a campaign poster is for a race or a ballot measure, and a fundraiser poster asks for help with a cause and says what the money is for. Choose the one whose wording matches what you are asking people to do.
