How to get it right
Resident, guest and tenant are three designs
Most associations need more than one kind of decal. Residents who own, tenants who rent, and guests or contractors on a short visit each get a different decal, usually in a different color, so the patrol can see which is which from the sidewalk. Each is its own design, and each is its own line in the cart with its own quantity and its own free proof. Keep the association name and logo the same across all three and change the color band and the word: RESIDENT, TENANT, GUEST. If the decals carry a unit or space number, each number is its own design, because every decal in a run prints the same. Mention the numbers in the note and we confirm on the proof how they are set up.
Let the board approve it on the proof
A decal that carries the association name is the board's decision, not one person's. The free proof is the way to settle it. A designer emails it, you forward it to the board or the management company, and anyone can ask for a change; changes are free, nothing prints until you approve, and you pay only after approval. Check the wording, the logo, the colors and the way the word reads. We mirror your design for the inside of the glass, so upload it the way it should read from outside, and the proof shows the mirrored version that will actually be printed.
Count the community, then add spares
Start with the number of units, multiply by the cars each is allowed, and add spares for the owner who loses a decal, the family that gets a second car and the new neighbor in the middle of the season. Keep a few of each kind for the management office. Clear film leaves the glass around the design see-through, so the decal does not block more of the windshield than its own printed area. Put it where your state's rules and your management allow. The printed decals take 2 business days after you approve the proof, and shipping is free by USPS.
Questions people ask about these
Which side of the windshield does an HOA decal go on?
Inside. This is a front adhesive decal: the glue sits on the printed face, which touches the glass from the cabin side, and the lettering reads through the glass to anyone outside.
How do I order resident, guest and tenant decals?
As three designs, each its own line in the cart with its own quantity and free proof. Keep the logo the same and change the word and the color.
Can the board approve the decal before printing?
Yes. The free proof is emailed to you, so you can forward it to the board or the management company. Changes are free, nothing prints until you approve, and you pay only after approval.
Can each decal have a different number?
Yes, but each number counts as a separate design, since every decal in a run prints the same. Mention the numbers in the note and the proof shows how they are set up.
Does the decal block the driver's view?
The film is clear around the printed design, so only the printed area is covered. Place it where your state's rules and your management allow; we cannot give legal advice on placement.
How soon will they arrive?
Decals are printed 2 business days after you approve the free proof. They ship free by USPS, or faster at checkout if you need them sooner, and changes at the proof stage are free.
