How to get it right
One scene instead of fifty pieces
Stock Christmas clings come as sheets of small snowflakes, ornaments and figures that take an evening to arrange and never quite line up. One large cling is the whole picture in one piece: a village, a tree, a sleigh, your shop name across the bottom. Clings go up to 48 inches on the longer side, and a wide window can take two or three side by side, each its own design or the same one repeated.
Sizing a window
Measure the glass inside the frame and leave a hand's width around the edge. A shop door pane usually takes 20 to 27 inches; a display window takes 34 to 48. Keep the words in the upper two thirds, where they are seen over parked cars and passing people, and the busiest part of the scene at eye level. The drawing on this page shows the size you choose against a storefront, so the scale is not a guess.
Inside the glass, and back next year
Mirror print is the default: the scene is printed reversed so that, applied inside, it reads the right way from the street, and it stays out of the weather - static cling is not made for an exposed outside surface. Smooth it on with a little water and a squeegee. In January it peels off in one piece; put it back on its backing, store it flat or loosely rolled, and it is ready for next December. Approve the proof by early December to have it up in time.
Questions people ask about these
How large can a Christmas window cling be?
Up to 48 inches on the longer side, in one piece. A wider window can take two or more side by side.
Can I reuse it next year?
Yes. It has no adhesive, so it peels off clean; store it on its backing, flat or loosely rolled, and put it up again next season.
Does it go on the inside or outside of the window?
Inside. It is printed mirrored so it reads correctly from outside, and static cling is not weather-resistant, so inside is where it belongs.
Do you have Christmas designs to choose from?
No - we print the artwork you upload, which is why the scene can carry your shop name and your colors.
Can I order just one?
Yes. Clings start at one piece.
When do I pay?
After you approve the proof. A designer emails it within 1 business day; at checkout your card or PayPal is held and charged when you approve.
