How to get it right
A decal that stays, and a cling that does not
Realtor car signs are often magnets, which an agent can take off in the driveway. We do not make magnetic signs. What we make is one printed full-color decal, shaped to your design, with a permanent adhesive, so the placement is a decision about the car. For something that has to come off, use a static cling: it holds to the inside of the rear glass without adhesive. That is a separate product, car window clings. Check your state's rules for rear glass before you place it, and keep the driver's view clear. Brokerage names, license numbers and any wording your brokerage or state requires print as part of your design. Check those rules yourself; we print what you send.
What goes on an agent's door
An agent's car is read at a curb, in a driveway and at a stoplight, so the layout has to be quick. Put your name first and your phone number second, almost as large. The brokerage name or logo can sit smaller beside them. A headshot prints like any photo, and a logo keeps its colors. We do not supply brokerage logos, templates or a design tool, so send files you are free to use. Free file cleanup and the cut line come from our designer, who does not draw a logo from a description. On a dark car, light type needs a solid field, and a rounded rectangle supplies one. A light car can carry a die cut that follows your logo. On the drawing, Try your logo shows how your own artwork balances.
If you may change brokerages
Agents move between brokerages, and a permanent decal does not move with them. After it is pressed on it stays, and we promise nothing about the paint beneath it. If a move is possible, put only your own name and number on the door and keep the brokerage on a cling inside the glass. Two pieces cover both front doors from one file, and one piece is a fair way to try it first. Open houses are a different job. Do you make realtor car magnets?
No, we leave magnets to other sellers. What we print is a decal with a permanent adhesive, plus a static cling for the glass.
Is a car decal a good idea for a real estate agent?
That is a personal call. A decal puts your name on every road you drive, which some agents like and some do not. One piece on one door is an easy way to try it, and a cling inside the rear glass is the version you can remove.
What size should a realtor car decal be?
Start from 18 x 10 inches and check it against your own door with a tape. Enter the numbers in Other, anywhere up to 48 x 80 inches, and let the tape, not the drawing, decide.
Can I put my headshot and brokerage logo on it?
Yes. Photos and logos print in full color from the files you send. What your brokerage or state requires on advertising is yours to check.
What happens if I switch brokerages?
The decal stays as printed, so a new brokerage means a new decal. Put only your own name and number on it, and keep the brokerage line on a cling inside the glass.
Can I add a QR code for my listings?
Yes, as part of your design. Leave a plain white margin around the code, use one whose page you can change later, and scan the proof from your screen before you approve it.
