How to get it right
Inside the glass, printed mirrored
A cling meant to be read from outside goes on the inside of the window, which means the artwork has to be printed mirrored or it reads backward to everyone but the driver. Choose mirror in the calculator and we confirm the side in the free proof. Inside is also where the film belongs mechanically: out of the rain, out of the car wash, and out of reach of anything that might catch an edge.
What this is good for, and what it is not
It suits anything that should come off cleanly: club and membership badges, a business name on a work vehicle you may sell, an event or season pass, a rear-window graphic that changes. It does not suit a bumper - a bumper is painted metal or plastic, not glass, and static has nothing to grip there. For a bumper, order ordinary die-cut vinyl stickers, which are made for exactly that surface.
Permits and badges from four inches
Sizes start at 4" on the longer side, which is permit and badge territory, and run to 48" for a rear-window graphic or a name across a van panel. A parking permit or a membership badge is usually 3" by 4" - order it as a 4" rectangle. One thing to know before ordering a batch: every cling in an order carries the same artwork. A run of identical permits is exactly what this does well; individually numbered permits, each with its own number, are a variable-data job this product does not print.
Questions people ask about these
Does it go on the inside or the outside of the window?
Inside, and printed mirrored so it reads correctly from outside. Inside keeps it out of the weather and the car wash, which is where clings on the outside fail.
Will it survive summer heat in a parked car?
On clean interior glass it holds without adhesive. What we do not publish is a heat rating, so we do not claim one - if a cling ever loosens, it presses back on with a little water and goes on holding.
Can I use this on a bumper?
No, and this is worth being clear about. Static cling needs smooth glass. A bumper is painted metal or plastic and gives static nothing to hold. For bumpers, order our die-cut vinyl stickers - that is the product made for the surface.
Can I move it to another car?
Yes. Peel it off in one piece, store it flat between two sheets of paper, and put it on the next car. Nothing about removal damages the film or the glass.
Can I order parking permits or membership badges?
Yes - sizes start at 4" on the longer side, which covers the usual 3" by 4" permit. Every piece in an order carries the same artwork, so a batch of identical permits is a normal order; individually numbered permits are not something this product prints.
How long does an order take?
Two business days in production after you approve the free proof, then free US shipping taking 3-5 business days.
