How to get it right
The underside of a deck is a hostile surface
Between the trucks there is a flat area roughly four inches wide before the concave starts lifting the edges of anything larger, and whatever goes there gets dragged along ledges. A 3" die-cut sits inside that flat area. Laminated vinyl survives what happens next better than uncoated stock, but nothing survives a grind - plan on stickers being replaced, which is why quantity matters more than perfection.
Grip tape is not a surface, and that is fine
Adhesive vinyl needs something smooth to bond to, and grip tape is deliberately the opposite. Stickers go on the underside of the deck, on the trucks, on a helmet shell, on a water bottle or on the shop wall. If something has to go on top of the board, it belongs under the grip tape when it is applied, not on it.
Shop runs, team runs and one-offs
The economics split neatly. A shop or a brand orders one design in volume, because price per sticker drops hard as a single run grows. A team or a rider ordering a personal graphic is a small run, and there is no reason to inflate it - the calculator prices 25 and 1000 from the same page. Two designs are two items in the cart, each with its own proof.
Questions people ask about these
What size sticker fits a skateboard deck?
Three inches is the usual answer for the underside. There is about four inches of flat area between the trucks before the concave begins, so 3" sits flat and 5" starts to lift at the edges.
Will it stay on through rain and street use?
The print will - laminated vinyl is waterproof and holds its color outdoors for years. The sticker will not survive contact with a ledge or a rail, and no printed sticker does. Apply to a clean dry deck and press the whole area down, not just the middle.
Can you cut the sticker to the shape of the graphic?
Yes, and shape costs the same as a square. Send artwork on a transparent background and we cut to the outline. The proof shows exactly where the cut line falls, which matters if your design has thin spikes or a tail.
Matte or glossy for skate graphics?
Glossy makes flat color and heavy black look denser, which suits most logo work. Matte is quieter and photographs better without hotspots. Same material, same price, switched on this page.
Can I put these on a helmet or a water bottle?
Yes, both are ordinary surfaces for this material. On a helmet, keep to the smooth shell areas and avoid vents; we do not make any claim about how a sticker affects a helmet, and the helmet maker is the one to ask.
How fast do they ship?
White vinyl ships the next business day after you approve the free proof, with free US shipping and 3-5 business days in transit.
Will I see a proof before I pay?
Yes, for most files. Upload your design and the proof appears on screen in seconds, with the cut line, at the size and shape you chose - before you pay. If a file needs a designer's eye, we email the proof instead, and changes are free until it is right. Nothing prints until you approve it.
