How to get it right
One poster per player
Senior night posters are personal - each one carries a single player's photo, name, number and years on the team. That makes each its own design and its own proof, and one poster per design is a normal order here, so a team can order exactly one for each senior.
Team posters and schedules
The season schedule poster in the gym lobby and the team photo poster in the booster club room are the other two. A schedule needs the dates in one clean column large enough to read from the door; a team photo poster needs a sharp original photo - ask the photographer for the full-size file.
A keepsake afterward
Senior night posters end up framed at home. Our semi-gloss paper does not fuse to frame glass, and 18x24 and 24x36 match standard frames. Allow two business days in production after proof approval and 3-5 business days in shipping before the game.
A season-opening team poster, not just seniors
Not every sports poster is about a single player - a season-opening team poster with the full roster photo and every name listed works the same way but as one design for the whole team rather than one per senior at the end of the year. It suits the gym lobby or the team room at 18x24, and coaches or booster clubs often order a few extra copies for parents who want one as a keepsake from the very first week of the season rather than waiting until the end of the year, when senior night finally arrives for only a handful of the players on the whole team roster.
A photo-collage display for the awards banquet
At the end-of-season awards banquet, a photo-collage poster of the season's highlights - game shots, the trophy if there was one, a few candid moments from bus rides - gives people something to look at and talk about at the tables while waiting for the program to start. 24x36 works well propped on an easel near the entrance or set out flat on a table, and planning it around the banquet date the same way you would senior night leaves room for a round of proof changes.
Questions people ask about these
What size is a senior night poster?
18x24 inches is easy to hold up in the stands; 24x36 for a poster that hangs on the gym wall.
Can we order one poster for each senior?
Yes - each is its own design with its own proof, and one per design is a normal order.
Can I use an action photo from a phone?
Often yes at 18x24. Upload the original, not a screenshot, and our designer tells you before the proof if it will print soft.
Can the posters go on the fence outside?
Not for long. They are indoor paper posters and rain or dew will warp them, so hang them in the gym or hold them up for the ceremony and bring them back in right after.
How far ahead should we order?
About ten days before senior night: two business days in production and 3-5 in shipping.
Can we print a team poster for the whole season, not just for seniors?
Yes - a roster or team-photo poster works the same way as a senior poster, just as one design for the whole team instead of one per player. Upload the file, approve a free proof, and order copies for the team room or for parents to buy.
What size works for a photo-collage display at an end-of-season awards banquet?
24x36 works well propped on an easel or set on a table near the entrance. Plan it around the banquet date the same way you would senior night, so there's time left for a round of proof changes beforehand.
What is a good quote for a senior night poster?
Keep it to one short line in the senior's own voice, such as a thank-you to teammates or a favorite saying from practice. Short text stays readable when the poster is held up in the stands.
What do you give a senior on senior night?
A poster with their photo, name and number is the gift that lasts: it is held up during the ceremony and framed at home afterward. Booster clubs often order one for every senior, each its own design with its own free proof.
