How to get it right
Start with the smallest door in the fleet
A fleet is rarely one kind of vehicle. A compact car, a cargo van and a pickup have doors of different sizes, and the smallest door sets the size for a single design. Measure that one first, subtract a margin and enter its size. If you want the vans bigger, order them at their own size. Each size becomes its own cart line with its own proof, even when the artwork is identical. Keeping the logo, the colors and the phone number the same across sizes is what makes a mixed fleet read as one company. The Try your logo option on the drawing places your artwork on the van, which lets you judge the layout at that size.
Five vehicles, two sides, one proof
Count the pieces. Five vehicles with a decal on each side is 10. Quick picks cover one, two, three, five and ten pieces, and any other count can simply be typed. When every piece is the same design, there is one proof for the whole order, checked once by a real person for size and cut line. You approve that proof before anything is printed, and any changes you ask for on it cost nothing. Twenty-inch pieces ship in a tube, not flat, and USPS delivery inside the US is free, with tracking. Press every decal on at the same spot, on the same side and the same distance from the door edge, and a row of parked vehicles lines up.
Unit numbers, new vehicles and the ones that leave
A unit number on each vehicle makes every decal a different design, so every number becomes a separate cart line with a proof for each. A simpler route is a single shared logo decal for the whole fleet plus a small number decal on each vehicle; the smallest square button is 6 inches, and Other starts at 1 x 3. New vehicles join later: order again from one piece, with the same file, at whatever count you need. Vehicles leave the fleet too, and the permanent adhesive stays with the vehicle. We do not wrap vehicles or install decals, so decide who puts them on: the drivers, a shop or your own lot crew.
Questions people ask about these
Should I put a phone number or a website on my work truck?
The phone number deserves the most room. Add a website only if the layout stays easy to read at a glance, because every extra line makes the others smaller. The free proof shows the layout at its true size.
How do I keep the fleet looking the same across different vehicles?
Use one file for every vehicle, and the same placement on each. Where a size differs, order that size as its own item with the same artwork.
Do I get one proof for the whole fleet?
Yes, for pieces that share one design: one file, one proof, however many pieces. A different design, such as a unit number, becomes a separate cart item and gets a separate proof.
Should a fleet use wraps or decals?
We make decals, each a single printed piece, 48 x 80 inches at the largest. A full wrap covers a whole vehicle, and we do not offer wraps.
Can I add vehicles to the fleet later?
Yes. Order again from one piece, at any count, with the same file.
How do I take fleet decals off before I sell a vehicle?
The adhesive is permanent, so we cannot promise a clean removal. Keep that in mind if a vehicle is due to be sold soon.
