Custom Box Truck Decals

This page opens at 72 x 36 inches, drawn on a cargo van: a big logo panel, and two of them cover both sides of a box truck. The van is smaller than your truck, so the same panel will look smaller on the real thing. One piece goes up to 48 x 80 inches, and a larger layout becomes panels that meet edge to edge, each its own cart item. Put the panel on a flat sheet between rivet lines.

How to get it right

Flat sheets between the rivet lines

A box body is built from flat sheets held by rows of rivets and joined at vertical seams. Put the decal on a sheet between two rivet lines, not across one. Rivet heads and seams are not smooth, and a decal bridging them has nothing flat to hold. Keep clear of door handles, hinges and lights too. Walk the side with a tape, measure the open sheet between the lines, and take a couple of inches off all round so the edges sit on a flat panel. Type that size in Other. The drawing shows a van, so trust your measurements over it. Once the backing is off, the adhesive will not let you start over, so mark the spot first.

When the layout is bigger than one piece

One piece goes up to 48 x 80 inches: the shorter side up to 48, the longer side up to 80. A layout bigger than that becomes panels that meet edge to edge. Each panel goes in the cart as its own item with its own free proof, so you see where the breaks fall before anything prints. We do not promise that the edges will line up seamlessly. Expect a visible line where two panels meet, and put it where the design can take it: between words or shapes, never through a letter or a face. If you can, let a break fall on one of the truck's own vertical seams. Keep the name and the phone number inside a single panel.

A panel for each side, then the whole fleet

Moving, delivery and rental trucks usually carry the same panel on both sides, so one truck takes two. Three trucks make 6; type any count you need. The cab doors are a smaller job at a different size and get their own cart item. A long piece is easy to get wrong by an inch, so lean on the free proof: a real person checks the size and the cut line. The order is made in 24 hours and goes out the next business day after you approve. Pieces over 15 inches roll into a sturdy tube, so a 72-inch panel arrives crease-free. A helper at the other end makes it easier to place.

Questions people ask about these

What is the biggest decal you print in one piece?

48 x 80 inches: the shorter side up to 48 and the longer side up to 80. Anything bigger is split into panels.

What happens if my logo is bigger than 48 x 80?

The layout is split into panels that meet edge to edge. Each panel shows on the free proof, and we do not promise a seamless match at the edges.

Can I put the decal over rivets or seams?

Keep it on the flat sheet between rivet lines. Rivet heads and seams are bumps, and the adhesive wants a smooth surface.

Do you install box truck decals?

No. We print the decal and ship it rolled, and you apply it. If you want a shop to do it, ask the shop before you order.

Can you print my USDOT number?

We print the artwork you send, but we do not check it against USDOT, MC or registration rules. Those rules are yours to check.

How much does a box truck decal cost?

The calculator prices any size and count, so you can compare a bigger panel with a smaller one before you buy. Type your width, height and quantity to see the total.
