How to get it right
Three posters for one party
The welcome sign is the 24x36: event name, date and year, and a line for whoever walks in, such as where to leave coats. The schedule or menu is smaller, 18x24 or 22x28, hung where people queue: the running order of the evening, the buffet list, the raffle time. The photo spot is the big one: a winter scene or a pattern printed up to 48x72 with the custom size, on the wall where people stand for pictures. Give the three one look so they read as a set, and keep names and times in large type, since guests read them from several steps back with a drink in hand. Each is its own file with its own free proof, and single prints of each can go in one cart.
Standing, framed or hung: we print the paper only
Be clear about what arrives: semi-gloss poster paper, printed. We do not supply foam board, easels, mounting or frames. To show a poster on an easel, back it with a stiff board of your own, because unbacked paper bows; to hang it, use a frame from a store or a hanging method your venue allows. Semi-gloss is the finish that does not stick to frame glass. Posters up to 15 inches on the longer side ship flat in a rigid mailer, and a 24x36 ships rolled in a tube. The paper is for indoors; an outdoor party sign needs a different material. For a poster that will sit on a table or shelf, 11x14 or 18x24 is the size to choose; the larger ones need a wall or a proper easel.
Working back from the party date
Most office and team parties are planned around one date, so count backward. Printing takes two business days after you approve the free proof, and free US shipping takes 3-5 business days, so approve by about December 9 for a party before Christmas. A New Year's party has a few more days, but the order is the same: file, proof, print, ship. Leave room for one round of changes to the proof, because the start time, the venue and the dress code tend to move late. Check the venue's rules for size and hanging before you choose, send a vector PDF for logos or a photo at 300 DPI at print size, and pick a faster carrier at checkout if the plan comes together late.
Questions people ask about these
Do you supply an easel or foam board?
No. We print the poster paper only, with no foam board, easels or mounting. Prop it on your own easel with a stiff backing board, or put it in a frame.
What size for a welcome sign?
24x36 is a good size for a lobby wall or a hall entrance, and it is where this page opens. 18x24 suits a table or a door, and sizes run up to 36x48, or a custom size up to 48x72.
Can I print a big photo-spot poster?
Yes. A custom size runs up to 48x72 inches; type the width and height in the calculator and the free proof shows the final crop before anything prints.
Do you have holiday party templates?
No. We print the file you send; we do not draw or lay out a poster for you. Put the party name, date and details into the file before uploading.
When should I order for a December party?
For a party before Christmas, the safe date to approve the proof is about December 9. Choosing a faster carrier at checkout stretches that if plans firm up late.
Can I order one of each poster?
Yes. A single print per design is fine, and the three can share a cart with a separate free proof for each.
