How to get it right
Fill ports, hose doors and a spotless panel
Many detailing rigs carry water, a pump and a generator, so the side walls have their own hardware: a fill port, a hose reel door, a vent or a power inlet. Plan the decal around those, on the flat stretch behind the front door or on a trailer sheet between its seams and rivets. A trailer sidewall is not a van panel, so take its size from your own rig. You know better than anyone what a dirty panel looks like. Wash it, dry it and take any fresh wax or polish off the spot, then press the decal down. Once the backing is off there is no second try, so mark the outline with masking tape and look at it from where customers park.
Brand, the word mobile and a booking code
Give the panel three jobs, in this order: say who you are, say that you come to the customer, and make booking easy. Set the brand name large, put MOBILE DETAILING beneath it, and give the QR code a square of its own on the right, with a plain white margin all around it. Use the code from your own booking page. The code prints as it sits in your file, and we have no way to test where it points, so hold a phone to the proof on your screen and scan it before you approve. A printed code cannot be edited, so ask your QR service whether the page behind it can change. Our QR code car decals page has the margin rules. Glossy laminate suits a detailing brand. Matte cuts glare on a panel the sun hits.
A pair for the van, a piece for the trailer
Start with the van: one panel for each side makes two pieces. A trailer takes the same art at a different size, and that size gets its own cart item, file and proof. A second van is one more pair from the same file. If each detailer should get credit for a booking, each needs a different code, and each code is its own design. We make printed decals, not cut vinyl letters and not magnets, so the panel stays on the rig for good. Nothing prints until you approve the proof, and changes on it are free. Both pieces are longer than 15 inches, so they ride in a sturdy tube, not flat, and an approved order leaves the next business day with free US shipping.
Questions people ask about these
How much does it cost to put decals on a detailing van?
It depends on the size and the number of pieces. The calculator on this page does the math as you type, and the proof is free.
How do I wash a van that has a decal on it?
The vinyl is waterproof, so rain and snow roll right off. We make no claim about pressure washers, automatic car washes, solvents or degreasers, so keep those away from the decal and wipe it by hand.
Can I put a booking QR code on the decal?
Yes. Make the code with your own service and upload it in your file. We print it as it is, so scan the proof on a phone before you approve it.
What size should a mobile detailing van decal be?
This page opens at 30 x 16 inches, enough for a name, the word mobile and a code. Measure the flat stretch of your van or trailer side and enter your own width and height.
Can the same decal go on my trailer?
Yes. The same file works at a different size, and each size gets its own cart item.
Can I put the decal over wax or a ceramic coating?
Start with a clean, dry, smooth spot, which means no fresh wax or polish. We make no promise about how a coating or paint will behave under a decal.
