How to get it right
What goes on a small cling
Anything that has to be seen rather than read from across the street: a payments badge or a Wi-Fi icon at the register, a small sale tag on a display case, a monogram on a glass door, a paw print or a star in a child's window, a team logo on a classroom pane. The same cling can move to the next pane or the next window when the message changes, because nothing is stuck down.
Sizes from 4 inches, and shapes that follow the art
The smallest cling is 4 inches on the long side. The size buttons go up from there, and a size in between goes under Other and is priced as the next size up. Die cut follows the outline of your artwork; circle, square and rectangle trim the film to a plain shape. At this size simple art reads best: thick lines, a few words, one clear field of color. Thin script that looks fine on a screen will not read from a few steps away.
Ordering a set, and getting it
Set the quantity to the number of clings in the set. The price per cling goes down as the quantity goes up, and the calculator shows the exact price before anything goes in the cart. A designer prepares the cut line and sends a free proof, usually within one business day, and your card is charged when you approve it. Production is two business days after that, and shipping inside the US is free, 3-5 business days. Keep spare clings flat between two sheets of paper.
Questions people ask about these
How small can a custom window cling be?
The smallest size is 4 inches on the long side. For a smaller mark that stays put, a custom sticker goes down to 1 by 2 inches, with the difference that it has a permanent adhesive.
Do small window clings hold as well as large ones?
They hold the same way, by static on clean, smooth glass. The usual reason a small cling lets go is dust or a film of cleaner under it, so mist plain water on the glass, place the cling while it is wet and smooth it from the center out.
Can small clings be cut to a shape?
Yes. Die cut follows the outline of your artwork, and circle, square and rectangle are also on the shape row. The designer prepares the cut line and it appears on the free proof.
How long do small window clings last?
A cling has no adhesive to wear out. It keeps holding as long as the glass and the film are clean and smooth, and the inside of the window is the place that treats it best. Take it down, store it flat between two sheets of paper and it goes back up.
Can I use small clings on a mirror?
Yes. For a mirror, or for a cling read from the side it is put on, choose Normal in the Print row. For a window read from outside, leave it on Mirror.
Is there a minimum order?
No. You can order a single small cling, and it gets the same free proof as a whole set.
