How to get it right
Choosing the panel on each machine
Walk around each machine and find the flattest painted panel: the side of a compressor, the door of a generator housing, the front of a tool box, the wall of a dumpster, the side of a trailer. A machine that has been fueled, greased and worked carries a film of oil and dust. Degrease it and let it dry before anything goes on. The adhesive needs a surface that is clean, dry and smooth. Cast parts, ribbed covers and textured coatings are not smooth, so leave them alone, and keep the decal off exhaust and other hot parts. Permanent adhesive means no second try. The drawing shows the decal on a wall next to a 5'9" person, which is a fair stand-in for a flat machine panel.
Matching the size to the machine
Size follows the panel. A 6 inch square fits a tool box lid. A 12 inch square, where this page opens, suits a compressor or a generator. A 24 inch decal suits the side of a trailer or a dumpster, and the 36 and 48 inch buttons are for big flat steel sides. Under Other you can type the size you need, anywhere from 1 x 3 inches to 48 x 80 inches. Keep the layout short: a logo, a name and a phone number, or a unit number. If each machine needs its own number, each number is a separate design and its own cart item, while a shared logo with no number is one design for the whole fleet. Every piece prints from the one file you upload, so a second design is a second cart item. The same 12 inch decal can go on a compressor and a generator, and one file covers a mixed yard. At 12 inches the decals ship flat, not rolled. The free proof arrives after our team has reviewed your size and cut line, and edits to the proof cost nothing. No. This page is for your own logo and ID decals. We do not make safety labels, warning labels or OSHA and ANSI labels.
Do you sell replacement decal kits for my machine?
No. We print your own artwork. We do not make replacement decal kits for a manufacturer's machines.
What will it stick to on a machine?
A smooth painted panel that is clean, dry and degreased. It is made for a smooth surface, so textured, cast or rough parts are not a fit. The adhesive is permanent.
Will it survive oil, fuel and pressure washing?
The vinyl is laminated and waterproof. Fuel, solvents and pressure washers are outside what we can promise.
How many should I order for my fleet?
Type any count: five machines take five. One cart item carries one design, so a different design is a separate item.
What size is an equipment decal?
