How to get it right
Names, date, and what to make biggest
Two words do the work: JUST MARRIED, set as large as the glass allows. Put the names on a second line, smaller, and the date smallest, or leave the date off and keep it for the keepsake. Use letters that stay open at a distance: a bold script or a clean serif reads from the car behind, while a thin, connected script blurs. Check every name and date letter by letter on the proof, because nothing prints until you approve it and a misspelled name is a keepsake nobody wants. White ink goes under your colors wherever they need a solid background, so pastel lettering stays readable against a dark interior.
Fitting the back window
Measure the clear glass side to side, then pick the longer side of your cling from the list: 27, 30, 34, 37 or 40 inches. The page opens at 30, a width many rear windows can take, but check yours and stay a few inches in from the edge of the glass. Many rear windows have defroster lines on the inside surface. The cling holds by static on smooth glass, so test one corner where it crosses those lines, or put a smaller cling on a side window instead. Keep it out of the driver's line of sight and check your state's rules. Printed Mirror, the letters are reversed on the film and read correctly from behind the car, and the proof confirms which way they go.
A keepsake, not a cleanup job
Put it on the day before or the morning of, on clean glass. Tape a paper cutout the size of the cling to the window first to settle the position, then mist a little plain water, slide the cling into place, and squeegee from the center out until no water is left under it. After the wedding, peel it off in one piece. There is no adhesive, so nothing stays on the glass, and stored flat between two sheets of paper it becomes a keepsake. Count back from the wedding date. Printing takes two business days after you approve the proof, then free US shipping takes three to five business days, so approve at least two weeks ahead to leave room for a change to a name or a date.
Questions people ask about these
Will it read correctly to the car behind?
Yes. Mirror printing is the default: the design is printed in reverse for the inside of the glass, so it reads correctly from outside. The proof confirms the orientation.
Does it leave anything on the window?
No. There is no adhesive on the film, so it peels off whole with nothing left on the glass.
Can I keep it after the wedding?
Yes. Peel it off whole and store it flat between two sheets of paper.
Can I add clings for the side windows?
Yes. Each different piece is its own design with its own proof, added as a separate line in the cart. Smaller sizes such as 12 or 15 inches suit side windows.
Can it stay on for the whole drive to the reception?
It is made for the inside of the glass, out of wind and rain. We do not promise how it behaves at highway speed or in a hot, parked car, so think of it as a getaway-car piece rather than a road-trip sign.
Can it say something other than Just Married?
Yes, the artwork is yours: names, a date, a hashtag or a short message. Each wording is its own design.
