How to get it right
Flat panels, seams, vents and end caps
The side of a rig is busy. Windows, vents, trim strips, awning tracks and slide-out seams all break up the surface, so the usable area is smaller than the wall looks. Find the clear panel between them, measure it, and outline 30 x 8 inches on the wall with painter's tape. Look at the outline from across the campsite, since that is where the name gets read. Check that the entry door and the awning arm swing clear of it. Rounded front and rear caps curve away from a long piece, so a long decal belongs on a straight side. Clean the spot and let it dry completely. There is no second try with permanent adhesive, so settle the position before you peel the backing.
Names, maps and rally badges
Campers get named the way boats do, and the name is the natural first decal: a script name, a small icon, the owners' names or a hometown. Keep the name to one or two lines, so the lettering stays large on a 30 x 8 panel. A travel map is the other favorite, a US outline with the states you have visited filled in. It prints as it looks on the day you order, so the next state means a new design. You can make one small decal per trip instead. Rally and club badges can be small, because the smallest square size is 6 inches. Photos and gradients print like any other art. For souvenirs from the road, see travel stickers.
Both sides, a rally order, and replacing a faded name
A rig name goes on both sides: order two, and the same file prints on each piece. A rally or club order can be any count; pick a tile or type your own number. We print new decals. We do not remove old ones, and we cannot promise how an old decal will come off your rig. It has to be gone, and the surface clean and smooth, before a new one goes on. To copy a design you already have, send the best file you can find or a clear photo, then compare the free proof with the original. If a photo is all you have, take it straight on, in daylight. Pieces at 30 inches roll into a sturdy tube for the trip.
Questions people ask about these
Where can I buy RV decals?
Here, from your own name, logo or drawing. We print what you send; we do not offer stock RV designs or a design tool.
Can I put new RV decals over the old ones?
It is better not to. A new decal needs a clean, smooth surface, so the old one should come off first. We do not remove old decals and cannot say how yours will come off.
Do you make full RV wraps or stripe kits?
No. What we make is single decals, each up to 48 x 80 inches, cut to the outline of your design. Full wraps and installation are not part of what we do.
Can you copy the decal on my camper now?
Send the best file or the clearest photo you have. The free proof shows the size and the cut line, and an exact match to an old decal is not something we can promise.
What size should a camper name be?
Your panel decides the real size, and 30 x 8 inches is only where the page starts. Outline the panel with tape, measure the outline and enter those numbers.
How many should I order for a rally?
Any number. Use the tiles or type your own count. A second badge design goes in the cart as its own item.
