How to get it right
Placement on tank, fairing and fender
Each part of a motorcycle calls for a different decal shape. A tank panel usually takes a wider, low decal that follows the panel's curve rather than a square; a fairing side can take a taller shape that follows the fairing toward the headlight; a fender works best with a simpler mark, since the surface is narrower and more exposed to road spray. Because you can type any width and height, the same club logo can be ordered as a 9 x 5 for a fairing and a 4 x 3 for a tank in the same order, each as its own line. A real person checks the size and the cut line before the proof.
Surface prep on curved, painted parts
A painted tank or fairing holds a decal better when the surface is clean and dry before application - road grime, wax, or a fresh coat of polish under the decal keeps the adhesive from bonding fully, and a decal applied over any of these will lift at the edges sooner than one applied to a clean panel. The vinyl is laminated and waterproof. On a compound curve like a tank shoulder, a smaller decal conforms more easily than a large one; if the design has to wrap a tight curve, splitting it into two decals placed close together usually lays down flatter than one oversized piece stretched over the same curve. The adhesive is permanent, so line it up before it touches the paint.
One bike, a pair, or the whole club
One decal for one bike is where this page starts. Choose 2 for a matching pair, one for each side of the tank. A club that wants the same mark on every member's bike can pick 5 or 10 or type any number, and the price per decal goes down as the count goes up. Each different design gets its own free proof, and nothing prints until it is approved, so a club logo with fine line work or small lettering can be checked closely first. Once approved, the order ships the next business day, with free US shipping. At 4 x 3 the decal ships flat.
Questions people ask about these
Can I order just one motorcycle decal?
Yes. One is the starting quantity on this page. Choose 2 for a pair, or 3, 5, 10 or any typed number, and the price per decal goes down as the count goes up.
Will a decal sit flat on a curved tank panel?
Yes, at the right size. We die-cut to the outer outline of your design. On a tight curve a smaller decal conforms better than a large one, and two small pieces usually lay flatter than one big one.
Can we get different sizes of the same logo for tanks and fairings?
Yes - type a custom width and height for each size you need and add them as separate items in one order.
How long does an order take?
A real person checks your file and sends a free proof by email. Once you approve it, the decal ships the next business day.
Do you offer a matte finish for a stealth look on black bikes?
Yes - glossy and matte cost the same, so either works for a bright logo or a subtler matte finish.
What surface prep does the tank need before applying?
Clean and dry, free of wax, polish or road grime, so the permanent adhesive bonds fully to the paint.
